How to export Live photos to animated gifs
Animated GIFs have been out there for many years, but recently it seems that they are doing a “comeback” on social media and blogs. So if you have Iphone 6 and live photos there’s an easy way to create your own ones with just few clicks.
When I got my new iphone 6s I’ve noticed a cool feature that I never had before – LIVE photos which made my album more dynamic when I press the images, however to my surprise there was no function on the Iphone to actually use these live images elsewhere than my device.
However, then I heard about Live Gif app– The app cost $1.99 (worth it) and after downloading it so simple to create the gifs from your live photos. After you allow the app access your photo album, you will be able to export every Live Photo into animated Gif file (or even video- with the sound). The more exciting discovery for me was that, from the app there’s an option to share the gif directly to Twitter, Facebook and also Instagram (it saves it as looped video file).
If you want to have the new animated Gif on your blog, that’s easy thing to do too- just send it to your email (from the app) and then upload it to your blog- EASY!
Take in mind that on the iphone, if you capture email in square mode it doesn’t allow the LIVE PHOTO feature.
I believe that this discovery of how to create animate gifs from LIVE photos is going to upgrade many blogs and social media profiles by enriching the content with more tailored rather than random GIFs. I know that I’m addicted to it already. If you want to see how I used it already check out my blog about real acai bowl in London.
